Job summary

Valley Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our clinical team on the full-time night shift. You will provide hands-on patient care and support the nursing staff across all populations.

As a CNA, you will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, maintain a safe environment, and adhere to infection control protocols. AHA BLS and local certifications are required, with additional training offered on the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• LA City Fire Card within 30 days of employment.
• MOAB training within 30 days of employment.
• One year of acute patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Support safe patient mobility, transfers, and transportation.
• Monitor vital signs and document intake/output and other delegated tasks.
• Report changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment.
• Keep call lights within reach and pathways clear for patient safety.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Provide emotional support and culturally sensitive care.
• Assist with specimen transport as needed.
• Participate in quality initiatives such as hourly rounding and turning programs.
