Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (Nurse Assistant) to provide basic patient care under nursing supervision at CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO. The role supports daily patient needs, including bathing, mobility, and vital signs, and requires strong communication and reliability.

Qualified candidates may have 3 months of nursing assistant experience or completion of a recognized CNA program. BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 3 months experience as a nursing assistant in inpatient or long-term care OR completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel program OR completed fundamentals of nursing with clinical in an accredited program.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff.
• Take vitals, bathe, dress, move patients, change linens and perform other duties as assigned.
• Obtain information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff and report any changes.

Completed the “fundamentals of nursing” course with clinical in an accredited nursing program or practical nursing education program OR

Must have Missouri CNA License OR

Must have MO CNA Appendix AND MO CNA license must be obtained within 120 days of hire
