Job summary

Weston County Health Services is seeking a Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for night shifts in Long-Term Care in Newcastle, WY. You will provide essential, hands-on care to residents, assist with ADLs, monitor conditions, and support the care team to ensure comfort and quality of life.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and strong communication. Eligibility to work in the United States is assumed; sign-on and referral bonuses are offered where

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Exceptional knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Has and maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to take after‑hours calls, work nights, weekends, pick up shifts, and flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to patient call lights and assess needs to determine appropriate support or escalation.
  • Provide hands‑on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility, personal hygiene, and comfort care.
  • Turn, reposition, and assist bedridden patients per care plans and safety guidelines.
  • Support nutritional needs by following dietary restrictions, food allergies, and resident preferences.
  • Gather and communicate relevant information regarding patient condition, treatment plans, and recommended activities.
  • Measure, monitor, and accurately record food and fluid intake.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations, as directed.
  • Observe patients for changes in condition or signs requiring medical attention and report findings to nursing staff.
  • Communicate resident concerns, complaints, or symptoms clearly and promptly to nurses.
  • Greet and assist residents, families, and visitors professionally, providing directions and support as needed.
  • Introduce yourself to residents, families, and visitors to promote comfort and trust.
  • Identify and report safety hazards to ensure a safe care environment.
  • Replenish supplies and maintain organized patient care areas.
  • Adhere to all infection control practices, including proper hand hygiene, standard precautions, and isolation protocols.

Compensation: starting at $22.64/hour depending on experience

Currently offering:

For the Part-Time CNA role, you have the opportunity to earn a sign-on bonus of $750.00, with a 50% payment at hire and the remainder at 6 months.

Refer someone and receive $1,500 for a CNA, $2,000for a LPN, and $3,000for an RN, with 50% payment at hire and the remainder at 6 months.

Physical Requirements and Conditions
  • The position requires light to moderate work with 50 pounds maximum weight to lift and carry.
