Job summary

Management & Training Corporation in New Orleans, LA, is seeking an Instructor, Certified Nurse Assistant (RN) to lead academic and career-technical instruction for students at the New Orleans Point Job Corps Center. You will deliver lessons, guide students, and assess progress in line with approved curricula.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, with RN/LPN preferred; CNA acceptable. A valid driver's license is required, and prior instruction experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• RN/LPN preferred; CNA acceptable; prior instruction/supervision experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students on behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
• Coordinate with counselors to resolve issues affecting student training and/or instruction.
• Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe training environment.
• Participate in student assessment panels and document results in CIS and related systems.

What you will be doing:

You’ll be responsible for the academic and career technical trade instruction per approved curricula. They will provide training and basic guidance and direction to help students achieve their academic and trade goals.

Essential Functions

• Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
• Coordinate with counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training and/ or instruction.
• Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe training environment.
• Participate in student assessment panels, perform required documentation and evaluation using CIS (Center Information System) and other documentation systems.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and experience in area of instruction.
• Preferred RN or LPN licensure, but can have CNA license. Experience instructing or supervising in a professional environment.
• A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
