Novant Health in Thomasville, NC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Emergency Department on a full-time basis (36 hours/week). You will support patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and help bridge communication between patients and the clinical team.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of the NAI program, and NA I registry listing.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience preferred; Assisted Living facilities experience in long-term care or assisted living required.
• NAI program completion required.
• NA I registration on nurse aide registry required.
• Medication Safety - AME required.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units required.

Responsabilidades

• Measure and record blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation levels.
• Report sudden changes in a patient’s condition immediately to a nurse.
• Respond promptly to patient call bells and requests for help.
• Listen to patient concerns, provide reassurance, and act as a bridge between patients and the clinical team.
• Set up meal trays, feed patients who need assistance, pass out water, and record food or fluid intake.
• Assist with bathroom trips.

It is equipped to handle a wide range of services, including initial assessment, treatment, stabilization, emergencies, from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions and potentially admission to the hospital.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: 1 year, preferred. Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
• Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program, required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required. Medication Safety - AME, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
