Certified Nurse Assistant Position Purpose

Our home health aides provide paraprofessional services to our patients in their homes, following physician orders and in compliance with the state's Nurse Practice Act, any applicable licensure/certification requirements, and our policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nurse Assistant in Connecticut
• High School diploma or GED required
• Completion of federally compliant training and successful competency evaluation
• One year of experience as an aide in relevant settings
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Follow care plan developed by RN
• Report client condition changes to RN
• Assist with personal care activities: bathing, grooming, dressing, etc.
• Assist with household tasks: meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry
• Record vital signs as ordered
• Perform simple procedures as assigned
• Assist in medication self-administration under RN supervision
