Partners In Care (PIC) is a nonprofit serving Central Oregon with home health, palliative care and hospice. A CNA at Hospice House provides personal care per care plan, assists with mobility, meals, and housekeeping, and collaborates with the care team to maintain patient comfort and privacy.

Shifts include 3-12 hour weeks, weekends and weekdays; hours are 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, and the role is full-time (36 hrs/week) at Hospice House in Bend. Commitment to compassionate patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA License.
• Ability to pass a background test, drug screen, and TB test.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• 1-2 years of recent medical care experience; home health or hospice preferred.
• Current automobile insurance and Oregon driver’s license evident.
• CPR Certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care according to the care plan, ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
• Assess patients before and after treatment and keep the care plan updated and accurate.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, positioning, meals, feeding, and housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Guide family members or caregivers as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid CNA License.

• One to two years of recent medical care experience in an institutional setting is preferred. Ideal candidates will possess 1-2 years of home health or hospice experience.
• Current automobile insurance is required. A valid Oregon driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Valid CPR Certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
