Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists, PC is seeking a motivated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Specialists One-Day Surgery Center team. You will support daily operations alongside nursing staff to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

This full-time role offers a Monday-Friday schedule from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, with benefits like PTO, paid holidays, and opportunities for professional development in a collaborative, caring environment. Free parking is available on-site.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• CPR/BLS preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ambulatory Surgery Center experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assists PACU (or OR) nurses as needed.
• Cleans stretchers/chairs and rooms between patients.
• Distributes linen and attire; maintains stock of blankets and supplies.
• Records patient vitals and pain levels accurately.
• Assists with supplies ordering and stock management.
• Safely changes depleted oxygen tanks.
• Assists with patient flow, transfers and toileting.
• Preps/clips patients and transports them safely while ensuring a friendly, safe environment.

Job description

We are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at our Specialists One-Day Surgery Center! We're looking for a motivated, outgoing CNA to join our team! In this role, you'll support the day-to-day operations of the center, working alongside our nursing staff, supervisors, and the full care team to keep things running smoothly and ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assists PACU (or OR) nurses as needed.
• Cleaning stretchers/chairs and rooms in 23-hour area in between patients according to facility specifications.
• Distributes linen throughout the facility, removes soiled linen to the soiled linen room. May be required to fold linen. Distributes scrub attire clothing to staff locker rooms. Maintains stock level of blankets in warmers.
• Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and pain level.
• Assists in ordering of supplies, maintaining stock levels of supplies in the nursing areas. Assists in unloading of stock and deliver of stock throughout the building.
• Changing depleted oxygen tanks in a safe manner.
• Assists with patient flow, transfers and toileting needs.
• Assisting in prepping/clipping patients.
• Transports patients safely using appropriate means.
  Provides a friendly, safe, timely, quality driven environment responsive to the needs of the customers.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program
• Must be 18 years or older
• CPR/BLS preferred or willingness to obtain certification
• Prior Ambulatory Surgery Center experience preferred but not required. Extensive orientation offered.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Strong data entry skills;
