Job summary

The Specialists One-Day Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Certified Nursing Assistant to support daily patient care and operations alongside our nursing staff and care team, ensuring a seamless patient experience.

Typical shift is Monday–Friday, 10:00 am–6:30 pm. CPR/BLS preferred or willingness to obtain. Prior ambulatory surgery center experience is a plus, but not required. Extensive orientation offered to new team members.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a CNA program.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Ambulatory Surgery Center experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist PACU (or OR) nurses as needed.
• Clean stretchers/chairs and rooms in the 23-hour area between patients.
• Distribute linen and scrub attire; maintain stock levels.
• Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs and pain level.
• Assist in ordering supplies and maintaining stock in nursing areas.
• Change depleted oxygen tanks safely.
• Assist with patient flow, transfers and toileting needs.
• Prep/clip patients.
• Transport patients safely and provide a friendly, safe, timely care environment.

Job description

We are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at our Specialists One-Day Surgery Center! We're looking for a motivated, outgoing CNA to join our team! In this role, you'll support the day-to-day operations of the center, working alongside our nursing staff, supervisors, and the full care team to keep things running smoothly and ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Monday-Friday 10am-6:30pm

Responsibilities

• Assists PACU (or OR) nurses as needed.
• Cleaning stretchers/chairs and rooms in 23-hour area in between patients according to facility specifications.
• Distributes linen throughout the facility, removes soiled linen to the soiled linen room. May be required to fold linen. Distributes scrub attire clothing to staff locker rooms. Maintains stock level of blankets in warmers.
• Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and pain level.
• Assists in ordering of supplies, maintaining stock levels of supplies in the nursing areas. Assists in unloading of stock and deliver of stock throughout the building.
• Changing depleted oxygen tanks in a safe manner.
• Assists with patient flow, transfers and toileting needs.
• Assisting in prepping/clipping patients.
• Transports patients safely using appropriate means. Provides a friendly, safe, timely, quality driven environment responsive to the needs of the customers.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program
• Must be 18 years or older
• CPR/BLS preferred or willingness to obtain certification
• Prior Ambulatory Surgery Center experience preferred but not required. Extensive orientation offered.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
