UVM Health Network - Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to provide direct patient care, including hygiene and activities of daily living, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

NYS Long Term Care certified CNAs are required; high school diploma or GED is needed within 2 years, and prior CNA experience is preferred. Pre-employment screening and physical are required; priority is given to bargaining unit employees within seven days of posting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent must be obtained within 2 years.
• Completion of a NYS approved Long Term Care training program and hold current NYS certification required.
• Previous experience as a nursing assistant preferred.
• Meets requirements of pre-employment screening and physical.

Responsabilités

• Performs tasks allowed to unlicensed personnel under NYS regulations and hospital policies.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Certified Nurse Aide provides direct care to patients and Residents to include resident hygiene and activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The Certified Nurse Aide performs those direct care activities that are allowed to be delegated to unlicensed personnel under the NYS Practice Act, regulations, hospital policies, New York State Long Term Care Regulations, and standards met by Nursing Services. The Certified Nurse Aide also performs support functions for the unit/department as assigned by the appropriate Registered Nurse and/or manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
