Job Duties

• Deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction in the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program, ensuring students meet the requirements set by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.


• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and hands‑on clinical experiences that align with the state curriculum and certification standards.


• Provide mentorship and support to students, helping them to succeed academically and professionally.


• Ensure compliance with state regulations and college policies related to the CNA program.


• Maintain accurate records of student progress and meet administrative deadlines.
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of an associate's degree in nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution. A bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is preferred.


• Licensure: Must hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.


• Experience: A minimum of two years of nursing experience is required, with at least one year in a long-term care facility.


• Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a passion for teaching and mentoring students. Proficiency in using technology for instruction and record-keeping is a plus.


• Vaccinations: TB Skin Test or TB blood test and Hepatitis B vaccine.
