Highpoint Health Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for full-time night shifts. The role involves direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting with activities of daily living, and monitoring patient vitals in a 3x12-hour schedule (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM).

Qualifications

• CNA certification required (current).
• BLS certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Handle with Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility).
• Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and observations.
• Report changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team.
• Assist with patient transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and support the care team.
• Supports nurses and other healthcare team members in delivering quality patient care.
• Assists with stocking supplies and maintaining unit readiness.
• Documents care provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Participates in required education, competency validation, and performance improvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

How You'll Contribute

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who excels in this role:

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).

What We're Looking For

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licensure

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.

Certifications
