Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dedicated team. The role involves basic patient care, daily living activities, vital signs monitoring, and reporting changes to nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and recording intake/output.
• Assists patients with personal care and activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, ambulation).
• Reports abnormal findings or changes to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.

How you'll contribute

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who excels in this role:

• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.

• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.

• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.

• Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Kentucky CNA certification with current listing on the Kentucky Board of Nursing Nurse Aide Registry.

• Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 90 days after hire date.
