Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support nursing staff in providing excellent patient care in a 295-bed acute care setting. The role involves vital signs, ADLs, and assisting with daily activities to promote patient well-being.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and recording intake and output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating and ambulation.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.

How you'll contribute

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who excels in this role:

• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Kentucky CNA certification with current listing on the Kentucky Board of Nursing Nurse Aide Registry.

• High School Diploma/ GED
• Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 90 days after hire date.

Schedule: 4x10 or 5x8, Days, rotating weekends
