Bluestem Communities Management Inc. is seeking a full-time Day Center Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in Kansas to join our team. The Day Center CNA will perform ADLs and provide restorative and supportive care, ensuring a safe environment and accurate health documentation.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, meal support, and coordinating with transport and care teams. Must be 18+, hold Kansas CNA certification, and have or be willing to obtain ongoing training in elder

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be a Kansas Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).
• Experience with frail/elderly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, toileting).
• Monitor health status and report changes.
• Maintain clean day rooms and care areas.

It is the responsibility of the Day Center CNA to provide and assist participants with activities of daily living, restorative and supportive care. Monitor health status and provides a safe environment for participants. Function as a member of the interdisciplinary team on an as needed basis.Essential Job Functions:Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team on an as needed basis.Carry out plan of care activities within the CNA scope of practice as directed.Assist and/or supervise participants with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, hand and food nail care, and toileting) as assigned or needed under supervision.Serve, monitor and assist participants with meals.Throughout the day, assist in maintaining clean and orderly day rooms, kitchenette, and personal care areas.Accompany participants to medical and other appointments as needed.Perform and or assist with laundry, including clothes for participants.Assist transportation staff with the loading and unloading of participants from vehicles.Provide Escort assistance on transportation vehicles when requested.Note changes in participant’s physical or emotional health and communicate this information to the Life Enrichment Coordinator or designee.Maintain participant’s medical record and fulfill charting and reporting requirements.Assist the transportation department with participants’ takes home supplies.Act only within the scope of his or her authority to practice.Participate in and support Quality Improvement initiatives.Follow all Policies and Procedures and OSHA safety guidelines.Maintain the confidentiality of all company procedures, results and information about participants, clients or families.Handle potentially infectious specimens with appropriate biohazard precautions and practices standard precautions.Maintain safe working environment.
