Job summary

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital - Springfield MO is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for part-time day shifts, working 12-hour shifts. The CNA reports to nursing staff under RN/LPN supervision and delivers essential patient care, including vital signs and ADL support.

You will help with daily living activities, monitor patient conditions, and maintain clean, stocked units. Participation in education and quality care is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Under the supervision of an RN/LPN, performs basic patient care activities.
• Monitors vital signs and records intake and output.
• Assists patients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, eating and ambulation.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes to nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient rooms and common areas in clean, stocked, and orderly condition.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care; works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

How You'll Contribute

• Under the supervision of an RN or LPN, performs basic patient care activities in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by and RN or LPN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping patients rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care; works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties assigned.
