Job summary

The Lutheran Home in Missouri is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for full-time, 12-hour shifts. You will provide care and daily living support to residents guided by our core values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace and stewardship.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, feeding, mobility, turning and positioning, and reporting any skin or health changes to the nurse. A Missouri CNA certification is required.

Qualifications

• Provide direct resident care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with feeding, toileting and mobility.
• Demonstrate safety and infection-control practices.

• Weigh residents using appropriate scales.
• Turn and position residents.
• Transfer residents using proper body mechanics or devices.
• Operate or use medical equipment safely.
• Keep resident rooms clean and stocked.

• Monitor skin condition and report abnormalities to nurse.
• Communicate residents' requests promptly.
• Report abuse, neglect or changes in condition to nurse.

$2,500 Sign on Bonus

The Lutheran Home is hiring for our Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) position. During 12-hour shifts, you will provide care and daily support to our residents, guided by our core values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Assistwith daily personal care functions
• Assistwith the feeding of residents
• Weigh residents using upright, chair and mechanical lift scale
• Assistin turning and positioning of residents
• Transfer residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention as indicated on the care plan
• Demonstrateappropriate knowledge for safe use of medical equipment (cane, walkers, mechanical lifts, side rails, brace, splint, oxygen)
• Helpkeep residents' rooms clean and supplied
• Make/change beds (unoccupied and occupied)
• Ambulate residents who require minimal assistance
• Perform skin checks and notify the nurse of any abnormalities in skin integrity
• Answer residents' calls and take appropriate action
• Immediately report any abuse, neglect, and/or changes in resident's conditions or incidents to the nurse
• Communicateresidents'requests or concerns in a timely manner

In this full-time role, you'll follow a consistent two-week schedule, working 7 out of 14 days with a three-day weekend every other week. Available shifts include:

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18
• Current Missouri CNA Certification
