Job summary

Shalom Park in Aurora, CO is seeking talented CNAs for PRN shifts to care for residents under the supervision of nursing staff. Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $30.00 per hour, with shift differentials and DOE.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, documenting care, and ensuring residents’ comfort and safety in a compassionate, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado Certified Nurse Aide (C.N.A.) certificate is required.
• Ability to perform essential nursing duties under supervision.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows nursing home policies and procedures for resident care.
• Responds to call lights, alarms, or paging to assess patient needs.
• Assists with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility of residents.
• Records vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Documents activities of daily living (ADLs) accurately.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Current CNA openings (PRN ONLY):

• DAY SHIFT: 6:30 am - 2:45 pm
• EVENING SHIFT: 2:30 pm - 10:45 pm
• NIGHT SHIFT: 10:30 pm - 6:45 am

Compensation range is $21.00 - $30.00/hr + shift differential.DOE

Summary

Cares for patients in nursing home under direction of nursing and medical staff, by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows all nursing home policies and procedures governing the care of the resident
• Answers call lights, safety alarms or paging system to determine patients’ needs
• Bathes, dresses, and undresses patients
• Serves and collects food trays and feeds patients requiring assistance
• Transports patients or assists patients to walk
• Assists patients during examinations and treatments, and remains with patients to perform such duties as holding instruments and adjusting lights
• Turns and repositions bedfast patients, alone or with assistance, to prevent pressure ulcers
• Changes bed linens, empties trash cans, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephone
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed
• All Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) must be accurately documented using either computerized means (or manual as necessary)
• Other duties may be assigned
