Job summary

Shalom Park in Aurora, CO is seeking Registered Nurses for diverse shifts. RN openings include Day, Evening, and Night with compensation ranges based on experience.

Earn $39.50–$54.50 per hour depending on experience. Active Colorado RN license and BLS/CPR are required to provide high-quality nursing care in our elder care community.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license with current BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience delivering nursing care in a nursing home setting preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Monitor patient safety, comfort, and condition; report concerns to physician.
• Perform nursing assessments and document findings; respond to emergencies per protocol.
• Educate patients and families; participate in quality improvement activities.

RN Openings

• PRN

Day Shift =6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Evening Shift = 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Night Shift = 10:30 pm - 7:00 am

Compensation Range $39.50-$54.50/hr depending on experience

Summary

Provides general nursing care to patients in nursing home facility by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing standards
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient
• Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies the Physician of patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents; may notify supervisor as needed
• Performs nursing assessments to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient
• Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
• Documents interventions, patient behaviors and physical assessments for assigned patients
• Initiates a patient/family-education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient/family, as prescribed by Physician
• Participates in department or unit quality improvement activities
• Other duties may be assigned

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Active, in good-standing, Registered Nurse License in the State of Colorado. Active Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
