Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) at the Daniel K. Akaka State Veterans Home in Kapolei, HI.

The CNA provides nursing care and assists with daily living activities, orienting residents to the unit and facilities, including bathroom, call systems, and activity calendars. Applicants must hold a Hawaii CNA certification or be enrolled in a State Approved CNA Program and have a HS diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal and restorative care and activities of daily living.
• Respond to resident calls and alarms promptly; communicate with Charge Nurse as needed.

The Position:

We're looking for passionate Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) to help us with providing nursing care and services for residents, that include personal and restorative care and activities of daily living.

• Ohana Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) orient residents to the unit and facility: Bathroom, call system, shower schedule, and lanai/common areas; introduces residents at table; informs of meal schedule and snack times; and informs of activity calendar and where activities are held.
• Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) respond to resident calls, call bells, call lights, alarms immediately. Responds to family requests immediately. Informs Charge Nurse when required.

Shifts Needed:

Full-Time Noc shift: 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, weekends required.

Full-Time,Evening shift: 2:00pm to 10:30pm, weekends required.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent / Minimum age of 18.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification with the State of Hawaii or currently enrolled in a State Approved Nurse Aide Program.
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance (can be done in-house).
