Job summary

Sacbar in California is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technician to perform nerve conduction studies (NCS) and assist with physician-performed EMG. You will work independently, applying advanced clinical judgement and technical skill to deliver accurate studies for neuromuscular conditions, tailoring protocols and troubleshooting in real time.

You will communicate findings to the supervising physician, educate patients and providers, and uphold quality, safety, and privacy standards under regulatory

Qualifications

• Performs NCS and assists with physician-performed EMG.
• Completion of approved Neurodiagnostic Technology education.
• Equivalent experience may substitute for formal degree.

Selects and tailors study protocols with established guidelines, optimizes recording through real-time troubleshooting, and communicates pertinent technical findings to the supervising physician. Builds patient and provider trust through clear communication, education, and attentive care. Adheres to all regulatory, organizational, and departmental standards for quality, safety, and privacy.

Education

• Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
• Completion of CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program
• Associate’s degree (or higher) in related field

Certification & Licensure

• BLS – Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
• R.NCS.T – Registered Nerve Conduction Studies Technologist (ABRET or AAET)
• CNCT – Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (ABEM)
