Job summary

TidalHealth in Crisfield, MD, seeks a Geriatric Nursing Assistant – Certified Medicine Aide to support rehabilitative care under supervision. You will assist with daily patient care and transport residents to appointments as needed.

Requirements include Maryland GNA licensure, Medicine Aide license, and BLS CPR. Proficiency with basic computer use and data entry is expected. Monday–Friday shifts with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant licensure issued by the Maryland Board of Nursing
• Medicine Aide license issued by the Maryland Board of Nursing
• Experience as a GNA and Certified Medicine Aide is preferred
• American Heart Association BLS CPR required
• Basic computer skills required
• Knowledge of how to switch on the computer
• Ability to use a mouse to interact with elements on the screen
• Ability to use the computer keyboard
• Ability to shut down the computer after use

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in the delivery of rehabilitative care under the direction of the Restorative Nurse
• Monitor quality of care and provide direct routine patient care as needed
• Drive the van to transport residents to/from Doctor’s appointments as needed
• Inventory, distribution/delivery of medications may be required

Geriatric Nursing Assistant- Certified Medicine Aide Position Summary

The GNA/Cert Med Aide works under the direction of the Restorative Nurse and will provide assistance in the delivery of rehabilitative care, monitor the quality of care provided, and provide direct routine patient care as needed. They will also drive the van as needed to transport residents to and from Doctor’s appointments. The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications may be required.

• Monday – Friday, possible Day, Evening or Night shifts.
