Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved medication aide training course is required.
• Completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant training program is required.
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant with one year of experience as a CNA.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and medicated creams under supervision and per state regulations.
• Prepare and administer routine and PRN medications as prescribed by the physician and document administration.
• Maintain medication supply, clean and restock carts and medicine room.
• Notify pharmacy of new medication orders and refills and monitor vital signs when indicated.
