Job summary

Lorien Mount Airy seeks a compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our care team. You will administer prescribed medications under supervision, monitor responses, and document accurately while delivering resident-centered care on the 2:30pm–11:00pm shift.

The position requires an active Maryland CMA license, weekend availability, and ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds. We offer competitive pay, vacation and sick leave, holidays, tuition assistance, HRA, and Same Day Pay.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate medication administration records and documentation.
  • Assist with resident care and activities of daily living as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and medication management protocols.
  • Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of life.

Responsibilities
As aCertified Medication Aide (CMA) atLorien Mount Airy, you will play an essential role in supporting the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents. Working under the direction of theDirector of Nursing and licensed nursing staff, you will safely administer medications while providing compassionate, resident-centered care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.Responsibilities include:
  • Administer prescribed medications accurately and timely according to physician orders and care plans.
  • Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition, reporting concerns to the nursing team.
  • Maintain accurate medication administration records and documentation.
  • Assist with resident care and activities of daily living as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, infection control standards, and medication management protocols.
  • Promote resident safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional care.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure medication administration environment.
Qualifications
  • Part-Time
  • Schedule: 2:30p-11p
  • Must have an active CMA (Certified Medicine Aide) license on Maryland Board of Nursing
  • Every-other weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25-50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accomodation.
