Job summary

Lorien Taneytown is hiring a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) and caregivers to join our award-winning team. You will administer medications under nursing supervision, support residents with daily living activities, and help promote dignity and wellness in a compassionate, resident-centered environment.

We offer a part-time schedule with days and evenings, every other weekend, with competitive pay of $18.00–$20.00 per hour and same-day pay.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Certified Medication Technician license.
• Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds with/without accommodation.
• Days/Evenings schedule, every other weekend availability.
• Experience administering medications per physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications accurately and per orders.
• Monitor medication effectiveness and side effects; report changes.
• Maintain accurate medication administration records.
• Assist residents with ADLs and supportive needs.
• Promote safety, dignity, and independence for residents.
• Follow infection prevention and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with nursing and care teams to ensure quality care.
• Provide compassionate support and meaningful resident interactions.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Responsibilities

As aCertified Medication Technician (CMT) atLorien Taneytown, you will play a vital role in supporting the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents. Working under the direction of theDirector of Nursing and licensed nursing staff, you will safely administer medications while providing compassionate, resident-centered care that promotes dignity, independence, and quality of life.The ideal candidate is caring, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional service while helping residents achieve their highest level of wellness.In this role, you will:

• Administer prescribed medications accurately and in accordance with physician orders, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition, reporting concerns to nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate medication administration records and documentation.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility, personal care, and other supportive needs as appropriate.
• Promote resident safety, comfort, and independence while maintaining dignity and respect.
• Follow infection prevention, medication management, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members to support high-quality resident care.
• Provide compassionate support and meaningful interactions that enhance residents' daily experiences.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all resident interactions.

Qualifications

• Full / Part /PRN Time Hours
• Schedule: Days, Evenings
• Every other weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday)
• An Active Certified Medication Tech license through the Maryland State Board of Nursing
• Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
