Job summary

StoneBridge Senior Living is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of nursing leadership and the Director of Nursing Services.

Qualifications

• Must possess at minimum a high school education or equivalent.
• Must be a licensed medication tech with state-approved training and any required exams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies governing medication administration.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Help develop procedures to prevent medication errors and improve safety.
• Complete administrative forms, charts, and reports as required.
• Document drug receipts with error reports signed by observer.
• Measure, record, and report residents' vital signs accurately.
• Notify Charge Nurse or Nursing Director of any medication issues.
• Record orders in the resident's clinical chart with details.
