Job summary

Vitality Living is seeking a Medication Technician to provide direct care and assist with medications for residents in our Florida facility. You will observe residents, document changes, and ensure accurate medication handling in a safe, compliant environment.

A state-approved Medication Technician certification and CPR/First Aid are required, along with at least 6 months of experience and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current Medication Technician certification from a state-approved program.
• Current CPR/First Aid certifications.
• At least 6 months experience in a similar role.
• Strong English communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Administers or assists with self-administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by the health care provider.
• Maintains residents' records daily in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy.
• Observes residents’ health and emotional condition and reports changes to the supervisor.
• Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the medicine supply room.
• Provides direct resident care as assigned.
• Performs medication cart audits per policy and direction of leadership.
• Receives reports on all residents.
