• Must complete continued education and maintain certification per State regulations.
• Must possess knowledge of state medication techniques.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must work well with residents and staff with compassion and dignity.
• Must adhere to attendance policies and the Employee Handbook.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies/call back as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administers and records medications for residents as prescribed.
• Observes, records and reports symptoms related to medications or adverse reactions.
• Determines and records effectiveness of medications and upholds residents' rights.
• Stores medications safely and maintains accountability.
• Monitors medications and change-of-shift procedures.
