Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System is seeking a Certified Medication Aide for PRN shifts in Kansas City, MO. You will partner with licensed nursing staff to plan, develop, and carry out resident care plans, and provide medication administration as part of daily duties on the unit.

You will support resident safety, respond to calls, assist with daily living activities, help with meals and mobility, and collaborate with the health care team to ensure high-quality, compassionate care for residents.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Medication Aide certification (Missouri) required.
• Experience in assisted living or nursing home care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule-PRN responsibilities on the nursing unit.
• Medication administration to residents daily.
• Assist residents with daily living activities in assisted living.
• Provide resident care and report information to the charge nurse.
• Answer resident calls and requests for assistance promptly.
• Serve food and beverages to ensure proper resident nutrition.
• Assist residents with mobility and transport activities.
• Collaborate with health care team to enhance resident care.
• Support safety and satisfaction with regular rounds and clear communication.

CMT's partner with our licensed nursing staff to plan, develop, organize, and carryout resident care plans. The CMT provides medication administration in addition to other duties related to activities of daily living.

• Schedule-PRN
• Medication administration
• Assisting residents with daily living activities in assisted living
• Providing resident care and reporting resident information/needs to charge nurse
• Answering resident calls and requests for assistance
• Serving food and beverages to ensure proper resident nutrition
• Assisting residents in mobility and transport activities
• Collaborating with other health care team members to enhance the provision of resident care
• Supporting resident safety and satisfaction by performing regular rounds on the nursing unit and effectively communicating with all team members while providing excellent customer service
