Job summary

Manchester Rehab & Healthcare Center – Ballwin, MO is hiring a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) for the evening shift, 2p-10p. The role supports licensed nursing staff, administers medications, and assists with ADLs while ensuring safety and compliance.

The position emphasizes resident-centered care in a skilled nursing setting, with a fast-paced, collaborative team focused on clinical excellence and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Must hold Missouri CMT certification.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.
• Ability to assist with ADLs and follow regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administer nonparenteral medications safely and accurately under supervision.
• Follow federal, state, and facility regulations and infection control procedures.
• Ensure proper medication storage, documentation, and disposal per protocol.
• Provide direct resident care, assist with ADLs and dietary needs.
• Assist in taking and reporting vital signs and notify nursing staff of abnormalities.
• Respond to call lights within 2 minutes and provide courteous assistance.
• Maintain safe use of safety equipment and transfer devices.

CMT – Certified Medication Technician Responsibilities

• Administer nonparenteral medications safely and accurately under the supervision of licensed nursing staff (RN/LPN).
• Follow federal, state, and facility regulations and infection control procedures.
• Ensure proper medication storage, documentation, and disposal per facility protocol.
• Provide direct resident care, assist with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), and support dietary needs, including feeding and offering substitutes.
• Assist in taking and reporting vital signs and promptly notify nursing staff of any abnormalities.
• Respond to call lights within 2 minutes and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Maintain safe usage of safety equipment, transfer devices, and gait belts.

Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Qualifications

• Certified Medication Technician (CMT) in the state of Missouri
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or assisted living preferred
• Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently with residents and staff
