Job summary

Village is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to assist in medication setup and administration to residents, documenting care in the medical record, and supporting nursing staff within state credentialing parameters.

Responsibilities include maintaining drug supplies, performing minor treatments, and serving as a first responder in emergencies while adhering to safety and policy guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education/experience leading to high school diploma or GED.
• Current MO Certified Medication Technician certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR certification preferred; insulin administration certification required for Village Assistant Living associates.
• Proficiency in medical terminology; familiarity with Word/Excel/Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurately assembles and administers medications to residents/customers per procedures.
• Maintains medical records under supervision of the Nurse.
• Performs minor treatments within the CMT scope.
• Maintains drug supply for residents/customers.
• Completes nursing care documentation as required.
• Observes residents/customers and reports changes to supervising nurse.
• Acts as first responder in emergencies when needed.
• May supervise Certified Nursing Assistants in absence of supervising nurse.
