Job summary

Morgan Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to safely administer medications and assist with resident care in a sub-acute and long-term facility. This role emphasizes precise administration, documentation, and compliance with state regulations while supporting resident well-being.

Applicants should hold a valid Medication Technician certification and CNA/CHHA/HHA as required, with prior CMT experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Medication Technician/Aide Certification in the state of employment.
• Must also be a CNA or CHHA/HHA, as required.
• Previous Certified Medication Technician(CMT) experience required.
• Experience administering oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic medications, and subcutaneous injections.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow clinical instructions accurately.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple residents in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents safely and accurately per physician orders and policies.
• Deliver medications via oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous routes as allowed.
• Observe residents for responses, document appropriately, and report changes or adverse reactions.
• Assist with basic resident care under licensed nursing staff supervision.
• Ensure medications are stored, secured, and accounted for per procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and resident care activities.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to promote resident-centered care and outcomes.
