Job summary

Westerly Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Westerly, RI seeks a Certified Medication Technician to administer medications and support resident care in a part-time role with daily pay.

The CMA must hold state CMA certification and may also be a CNA/CHHA depending on requirements; CMA experience is preferred. The center offers tuition reimbursement, health benefits, and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Must hold a CMA certification in the state of employment.
• Must also be a CNA or CHHA/HHA, as required.
• Previous CMA experience required.
• Experience administering oral, topical, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous medications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications safely and accurately per physician orders and policies.
• Provide medications via oral, topical, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous routes as allowed.
• Observe residents for medication responses, document, and report changes or adverse reactions.
• Assist with basic resident care under licensed nursing supervision.
• Ensure medications are stored, secured, and documented correctly.
• Maintain timely documentation of medication administration and related care.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to promote resident-centered care.
