Westerly Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a part-time Certified Medication Technician to support safe medication administration and resident care. The CMA will work under licensed nursing supervision, administering medications by approved routes and documenting accurately.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Medication Technician/Aide Certification in the state of employment.
• Must also be a CNA or CHHA, as required.
• CMA experience is required.
• Experience administering oral, topical, ophthalmic meds and subcutaneous injections.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team‑oriented healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications safely and accurately per orders and policies.
• Provide medications via oral, topical, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous routes as permitted.
• Observe and report resident responses and adverse effects promptly.
• Assist with basic resident care under licensed nursing supervision.
• Ensure proper storage and accounting of medications.
• Maintain timely documentation of medication administration and related care activities.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to promote resident-centered care.
