Job summary

The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a full-time Certified Medication Tech (CMT) to assist with medication administration and daily resident care. You will work with a dedicated nursing team on a stable schedule and benefit from a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring residents, supporting ADL tasks, and maintaining accurate records. A compassionate approach and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri CMT certification.
• Current Missouri CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to residents and maintain related medical records under supervision of a nurse.
• Take vital signs or observe patient to detect responses to medications and report any unexpected reactions.
• Assist residents with ADL care as needed.
• Answer call lights and take appropriate action.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely per facility policies.
• Immediately report abuse, neglect, or changes in resident conditions to the nurse.
• Communicate residents' requests or concerns promptly.
• Encourage respect, communication, and teamwork.
• Participate in ongoing staff education and training.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Administer prescribed medications to residentsand maintain related medical records under supervision of a nurse
• Takes vital signs or observes patient to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies designated personnel of unexpected reaction
• Assist residents with ADL care as needed
• Answer call lightsand take appropriate action
• Complete documentation accurately, timely, and following facility policies and procedures
• Immediately report any abuse, neglect, and/or changes in resident’s conditions or incidents to the nurse
• Communicates residents'requests or concerns in a timely manner
• Encourage respect, communication, and teamwork
• Participate in ongoing staff education and training

In this Full-time position, you will have a set 2-week schedule with every other weekend off, working 7 out of 14 calendar days.

Available Shifts:

• Day Shift: 6:45am – 7:15pm
• Night Shift: 6:45pm – 7:15am
