Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Certified Medication Technician to join Idaho State Correctional Institution in Kuna, Idaho. The CMT works under a RN and medical staff to administer medications, take vital signs, and assist with daily living activities.

The role includes an 8-hour evening shift (Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun) with a $18–$22/hour pay range based on experience plus a $1000 sign-on bonus. Background checks and CPR/AED certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Aide certification (or ability to obtain) with approval for medication administration required.
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
• One Year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses by administering medications and documenting drug dosages and times of administration.
• Take vital signs and assist in examinations and treatments.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Monitor patients and report changes in their conditions.

The Certified Medication Technician (CMT) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or other medical staff and is responsible for assisting nurses by following written and/or oral instructions to administer medications and document drug dosages and times of administration. The CMT takes vital signs, assists in examinations and treatments, and assists patients with activities of daily living. The CMT must monitor patients to report changes in their conditions.
