Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring part-time and full-time Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs) for evening and overnight shifts. As a CMT, you'll provide quality medical care to stabilize clients, assist with nursing duties, and collaborate with medical teams to ensure seamless care.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure to serve as a Medication Technician in MD is required.
• CPR certification is mandatory.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, timely medical care to stabilize clients.
• Assist with nursing shift duties, including vitals and medication management.
• Collaborate with medical and clinical teams for care coordination.
• Order and restock medical supplies as necessary.
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange post-discharge care.
• Assist with pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations.

What You'll Do

• Provide quality, timely medical care to stabilize clients and enable them to engage fully in treatment
• Assist with all nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, medication management, charting and reporting etc.)
• Collaborate with extended medical and clinical teams for seamless coordination of care
• Manage, order and res-stock all medical supplies as necessary
• Schedule medical appointments and arrange aftercare providers for post-discharge
• Assist with all pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations

What We're Looking For

• CPR certification is required
• High School diploma/ GED or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Valid licensure to serve as a Medication Technician in MD
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Collaborative, multitasking, and time-management skills
• Knowledge of substance use and its bio-psychosocial consequences
