Job summary

Missouri Veterans Commission is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to support the Missouri Veterans Home and contribute to high-quality veteran care. You will administer medications, document delivery, and collaborate with nursing staff to uphold care standards.

The position offers hourly pay with day, evening and night shifts plus weekend differential, plus generous benefits including leave, health insurance, retirement, and savings match.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as Certified Medication Technician in Missouri
• 1+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Administer medication according to standards of practice
• Document accuracy for medication delivery and follow-up observations
• Serve as liaison between charge personnel and Certified Nursing Assistants
• Assist in orientation of new team members
• Provide Veteran care per standards of practice
• Comply with Veteran’s individualized care plan and support Veterans
• Document information in the Veteran’s EMR accurately and timely

Hourly Pay

• $19.94 day shift
• $21.94 evening and night shift
• Additional weekend shift differential available

Examples of Work

• Administer medication utilizing acceptable standards of practice
• Document accuracy for medication delivery and evidence of follow-up observations for effect
• Serve as liaison between charge personnel and Certified Nursing Assistants
• Assist in the orientation of new team members
• Provide Veteran care as needed according to standards of practice
• Comply with Veteran’s individualized care plan and support the Veterans
• Document information in the Veteran’s electronic medical record (EMR), both accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Valid certification as certified medication technician in Missouri
• 1+ years of relevant experience
