Job summary

Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to make a difference in the lives of underserved patients. In this role, you will administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a registered nurse, document medication administration, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • One year of related experience in a medical environment preferred.
  • Must be certified as a Medication Technician in the state where services are provided.
  • Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications under RN supervision.
  • Document medication administration and reasons for non-administration.
  • Follow safety protocols during medication delivery.
  • Report adverse reactions to supervisors.
  • Uphold HIPAA confidentiality standards.

How You Make a Difference

The Certified Medication Technician administers prescribed medications under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include documenting medication administration, adhering to infection control protocols, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, participating in audits and data collection, monitoring for adverse reactions, maintaining medication supply levels, and protecting patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications under RN supervision in compliance with policy and regulations.
  • Document medication administration and reasons for non‑administration in the MAR.
  • Follow infection control procedures and safety protocols during medication delivery.
  • Participate in audits and report adverse reactions to supervisors.
  • Maintain medication supplies and uphold HIPAA confidentiality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements

EDUCATION

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

  • One year of related experience in a medical environment preferred.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Must be certified as a Medication Technician in the state where services are provided and have current CPR certification.
