Job summary

Good Samaritan in Auburn, NE is seeking a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision. The role includes medication administration, vital signs, and support with daily activities in a faith-based care setting.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), CNA experience in long-term care (preferred), and complete required competency training. A valid driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 18 preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly competency testing and continuing education credits.
• May require a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care, medication administration, and vital signs.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Support meals, dining, hygiene, and recreation for residents.
• Communicate changes to the charge nurse.
