Job summary

Good Samaritan Society seeks a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living support under a licensed nurse. You will administer medications as delegated and document outcomes, while maintaining safety and dignity for residents.

Qualifications include a High school diploma or GED and CNA certification where required, with prior clinical experience preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role in Albion, NE with competitive benefits and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains CE credits.
• May need a valid driver's license and auto insurance if applicable.
• For all Good Samaritan Society locations CMA/TMA certification is preferred after CNA.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, and vital signs.
• Communicate changes in condition or care needs to the charge nurse.
• Assist with dining, hygiene, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
