Cypress Pointe Health & Wellness in Houston, TX is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support residents with accurate medication administration as ordered by physicians. The role requires coordination with licensed nurses to ensure safety and adherence to standards of care.

Responsibilities include providing timely medication administration, monitoring for adverse effects, and documenting care and condition changes.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Medication Aide in Texas is required/preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Mansioni

• Obtain report from nurse CMA being relieved and record pertinent information related to medication administration.
• Administer medications accurately and timely per resident orders (correct resident, medication, dose, route and time).
• Observe residents for drug effects and adverse effects; report to nurse immediately.
• Document resident care related to medication administration and changes in condition.
• Notify nurse of changes in condition, medication errors, or stock issues.
• Perform duties of Certified Nurse Aide as assigned.
• Follow care plans for medication administration based on resident needs and assessments.
• Participate in community education programs.
• Promptly report observed changes in residents’ conditions to the licensed nurse.
• Respond to residents’ calls for assistance promptly.
• Store medications accurately and monitor expiration dates.
