Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management in Quitman, Texas seeks a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support resident care under the charge nurse. You will pass medications timely and accurately, while communicating clearly with patients and staff to maintain high-quality care.

You must have an active CMA certification and English communication skills; prior patient care is preferred. The role follows established policies, participates in shift reports, and contributes to a collaborative, compliant care

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively in English, in writing and speech.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Current Certification for Medication Aide.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Shift Report.
• Perform routine patient care per policies and procedures.
• Employ preventative and restorative measures.
• Follow infection control guidelines during care.
• Reports promptly any change of patient condition to supervisor.
• Follow charting guidelines for PRN documentation.
• Inventory drugs on arrival and document accordingly.
