Benchmark Senior Living in Scotch Plains, NJ is seeking a compassionate Certified Medication Aide to deliver care in a warm, home-like setting. You will work with residents, ensuring accurate medication administration and clear communication with the Resident Care Director.

Qualifications

• Must hold State Medication Technician License and follow state protocol.
• Competency review of medication technician quarterly.
• CPR certification required or obtainable within six months.
• Complete state-approved training in drug administration with certificate.
• Competency evaluated by RCD each quarter.
• Current nursing assistant certification or AH/Homemaker training completed.
• High School education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate questions and medication discrepancies to the RCD.
• Notify RCD of significant changes in resident status.
• Document supervision of self-administration in MAR.
• Document and notify RCD of PRN medication administration.
• Record documentation on PRN meds and patient status.
• Assist in prevention of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
