Job summary

Simpson Place Assisted Living in Dallas, TX is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our caring team. The CMA will administer oral and topical medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following physician orders and facility policy.

Qualifications

• State certification as a nurse aide is required.
• State approved medication administration certification.
• Familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide.
• Strong observation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Adheres to the five rights of medication administration and facility policies.
• Records medication administration accurately in resident records.
• Observes residents for reactions or side effects and reports to a licensed nurse.
• Administrates PRN medications per regulations and policies.
