Qualifications
- Must hold a High School Diploma or GED and be a licensed CNA.
- Certification of passing the medication aide competency exam for the State of Tennessee.
- Experience with senior resident services and knowledge of aging process preferred.
- Flexible work schedule required.
Responsibilities
- Administers prescribed medications to residents under supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Verifies resident identity, records drug name, dosage, and time.
- Observe ingestion or application and document observations.
- Take vital signs and report reactions to medications.
- Document reasons for not administering prescribed drugs.
- May restock and manage medication inventories.
- Maintain clean medication cart and room.
- Communicate with families and interdisciplinary team.
- Complete shift reports per company policy.
