Job summary

Lexington Premier Nursing & Rehab is seeking a Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA) to join our nursing team. The KMA will administer medications, monitor residents, and ensure a safe, supportive environment for residents under our care.

The role requires a CMA 40-hour course with KY exam, strong communication, and the ability to work in a clinical setting. Full-time, part-time, and PRN options are available to support our residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 40-hour CMA course and state KY exam required.
• Experience: healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication with patients and families.
• Physical: ability to lift and transfer residents.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications per orders and protocol, with proper documentation.
• Monitor residents and report changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean, organized medication storage per infection control rules.
• Provide compassionate, respectful resident support.
• Collaborate with nurses and doctors to coordinate care plans.
• Complete all documentation including MARs and health observations.
