Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a qualified Licensed Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under supervision of nursing leadership in a Texas facility.

The role requires adherence to facility policies, accurate documentation, and collaboration with nurses and pharmacists to ensure safe medication practices. Must maintain resident confidentiality and participate in ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Medication Aide having completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
• Mathematical skills to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Reasoning abilities to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility policies governing medication administration to residents.
• Note and report errors in medication administration.
• Assist in developing procedures to reduce medication errors and improve accuracy.
• Complete forms, charts, and reports as required.
• Maintain professional relationships with nursing staff, physicians, and pharmacists.
• Document and report medication administration accurately and promptly.
