Responsibilities

• Administer Medications: Dispense prescribed PO, topical, and rectal meds per orders and policy.
• Monitor and Report: Watch for adverse reactions or changes in resident status.
• Document Accurately: Record all medication administration per policy.
• Ensure Safety: Maintain control of the medication cart and a safe environment.
• Protect Privacy: Safeguard the confidentiality of resident information.
• Adhere to Infection Control: Follow infection control procedures during med administration.
• Report Errors: Immediately report any medication errors to the Charge Nurse.
