Job summary

Homestead-of-Bethany is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to assist with administering prescribed medications to residents under physician and nursing supervision.

You will ensure proper labeling, charting, and storage of medications, while maintaining confidentiality and resident dignity. The role requires compliance with state regulations and Community policies, plus teamwork with CNAs and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CMA certification in good standing with the State.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document accurately.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral/topical medications as ordered by physician under supervision and document promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized medication cart/room and ensure proper labeling and dating of medications.
• Follow Community policies; report abuse/neglect and participate in surveys as requested.
• Complete medication charting per policy and report errors immediately.
• Respect resident privacy, obtain signed orders, and verify resident identity before administration.
• Assist in daily hygiene and other resident care tasks as needed.
